GLMR rehomes English Mastiffs in a multi-state region which includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and Western Pennsylvania. Working with a network of volunteers, our goal is to optimally match the dogs that we bring in through our surrender program with loving adoptive families. We have developed a structured adoption process that allows us to evaluate the temperament of our rescues so that we can determine the environment in which they will thrive. At the same time, we meet with our adoptive families so that we can understand their desire and the factors which will affect the success of the placement.

Before adoption all of our rescues are evaluated for carefully for temperament while they reside in the foster care of a trained volunteer for at least two (2) weeks. During that time, or longer if necessary, GLMR will treat any medical conditions and have the dog spayed/neutered if needed.
